About the Author
Shelley Berlin Parrish was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lives there today with her husband Todd and their children, Kimberly, Greg, and Brian. Shelley is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She is a first-grade reading teacher and also teaches quilting at a local middle school. Shelley spends her summers at her cabin on the shores of Lake McDonald in northern Wisconsin. Autumn is her favorite time of year, when she enjoys long walks in the woods with her family and their two dogs. Shelley is also a collector of moose memorabilia and is working on her next book, Messages from Mr. Moose.
About the Illustrator
Kristi Petrosa-Sigel was born and raised in a small town on Whidbey Island, Washington. The last of six children, she was brought up with a strong sense of family and tradition. Kristi has realized her childhood dream of becoming an artist. A graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle, she creates illustrations for greeting cards, garments, and a variety of other products.
